Laugh So Hard Your Guts Hurt
Boring day? These hilarious memories will put a smile on your face and take you back to your days as an undergrad. Relive your wild days and share your memories with us at here.
What is the memory that makes you laugh hardest today?
“Torturing Ken Langone at the end of hell week.” - Nate Headley, ’58
“Mark Pettigrew "flying" yardbirds at Schwartz Hall.” - Greg Walbridge, ’91
"Coming back from Cheryl's (Truck Stop on Rte 15 open 24 hrs.) in a
snow storm. My 1974 Chevy Impala was packed w/ EX brothers and decided to take a
short cut through the Stadium back to the Frat House. After a wonderful
performance of "donuts" within the Stadium, I noticed many flashing lights
surrounding the car. Not to be out done, I tried to get away and got wedged in a
snow bank trying to get back in to the parking lot by Schwartz. When the
officers asked us to get out of the car, the doors were jammed and we had to fall
out the windows. Given the "state" we were in, even the Police could not help
but laugh at us. They gave us shovels and told us to remove the car from the
snow bank and park it legally!" - Ed Stark, '82
Describe the best party
“Bowery Brawl.” - 58 Kirk Kazarian, ’52
“House Party weekend when Art Kinney was still an undergrad.” - Nate Headley, ’58
“Sig Derby - Rich Meyer in the basement.” - Greg Walbridge, ’91
“The best house party weekend memory was when Rich Suth '92 emerged from the
woods as naked man, he was at one with nature and could hardly speak his
name.” -Joe DiMario, ’93
"All the EX parties were the best on campus! House Party Weekend and
Derby Days were the craziest if I had to get specific. However, what made EX
great were all of the impromptu parties initiated at a moments notice by the
Brothers. Every Frat and Sorority wanted to party @ EX!" - Ed Stark, '82
"The best party during the 40's and 50's was the Bowery Brawl . The pledges spent
weeks gathering any and all kinds of advertising signs from the local
merchants--they then put them all over the walls in altered ways .The "censor
committee" then toned them down. We had great bands --my favorite was Johnny
Brown (he once played with Louie Armstrong) and his Quintet a black group from
Harrisburg. They played "Rhythm and Blues" the forerunner of "Rock and Roll" and
the "joint" was jumping to say the least!!" - Edward McComsey, '52
"Sig Derby and House Party Weekend were always great times! On Campus and Off-Campus 'friends' always showed up for these EX events. You knew it was a good time when the 2nd floor soda machine was out of Mountain Dew the next day!" -Ed Stark, '82
Describe your favorite/best road trip
“Away football game at Colgate and Spring break in Ft Lauderdale.” - Nate Headley, ’58
“Senior year when Bison played William & Mary in football. Great Bison tailgate and a fun party at the EX house.” - Greg Walbridge, ’91
"The best road trip was to Jimmy Byrne's Sea Gert Inn on St.
Patrick's Day. We drove to the Jersey Shore and back to party for the Holiday.
Great time and great "road trip" beverages. Also, the post party late night runs
to Cheryl's for an early morning breakfast. You ordered either a Cheryl's MESS or
a BIRD's NEST!!" - Ed Stark, '82
"1976 Jan Plan ski trip to Switzerland along with Marty Marra, Scott Morrow, Daron Shepard, Dave Ogden, and Steve Luce (along with a number of our Tri-Delt friends)." -John R. Kukucka, '77
What is the one memory you have shared or will share with your children or grandchildren?
